JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description At In-Place Machining we\'re the elite force of field machining! We specialize in precision machining and large scale cutting and drilling and metrology and alignment services. Working as a Field Machinist at In-Place will take you to some of the most fascinating places on Earth! One day you may be working on the Hoover Dam and the next removing broken studs refurbishing threaded holes up tower on a wind turbine! Summary Responsible for basic fixturing, tool set-up, machining, in-process inspection, and final completion of moderately tolerance details (+/- 0.010). Work with machining personnel, field machinists, engineers, and supervisors to plan and execute the most cost-effective method for producing quality parts. Exhibit and enforce a culture where safety is the first priority! Essential Duties & Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Operate basic manual and field machining equipment. Under technical supervision, can perform the following tasks on basic jobs while maintaining tolerance and finish requirements: Field Machining Develop processes, select tooling, and perform setups Under technical supervision, can assist/perform the following tasks: Mobilizations of equipment for basic jobs Demobilizations of basic equipment Repairs and maintenance of basic equipment For basic jobs, develop processes, select tooling, and perform setups Utilize TRACE system for the management and tracking of equipment.
