Job Overview This position is responsible for the creation of automated systems for use in a production and manufacturing environment. This position will collaborate with departmental and corporate leadership to determine existing automation capabilities and future opportunities, creating detailed project road maps for automation projects that support business objectives. Key Job Responsibilities Designing and implementing industrial automation systems to improve efficiency and productivity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop solutions. Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects. Programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) for automated processes. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with automation systems, including hardware and software components. Conducting regular maintenance and upgrades of automation systems to ensure optimal performance. Developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures for automated processes. Training and providing technical support to operators and maintenance personnel on automation systems. Monitoring and analyzing data from automation systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance. Staying updated with the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommending innovative solutions to enhance operations. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and technologies Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, SCADA, and HMI Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
