Juniata County Government 911 Telecommunicator in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania

Position Title: 911 Telecommunicator
Reports To: Adam Waite, Director of 911 Services
Employment Info: Part Time, Non-Union
Essential Duties: Receive and process 911 calls accurately, and rapidly determine the appropriate response. Coordinate the dispatch and response of emergency services field units. Must have and understanding of computers and be able to use other technical equipment as required to perform assigned duties. Applicants must possess good oral and written communication skills and must possess the following:
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shift work.

``` - Ability to pass a written, oral, and keyboarding evaluation.

``` - Complete the Department Training program.

``` - A successful candidate must possess a Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance less than one (1) year old.
Candidates are considered by experience and qualifications.
*Salary: * As outlined in the collective bargaining agreement with no benefits included, this position is casual, on-demand part-time.
Work Hours: The schedule consists of a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts on a 24/7/365 schedule. Must be under 1000 hours per calendar year.
