Midland Basin Overview

ConocoPhillips holds approximately 372,000 total net acres in the Midland Basin, which includes approximately 248,000 unconventional net acres located in the heart of west Texas. The company operates over 2,800 producing wells across Midland, Upton, Andrews, Martin and Glasscock counties.

In 2023, the company operated five drilling rigs on average, including two electric rigs. Net production in 2023 averaged 182 MBOED and 106 operated wells were brought online.

Description

Permian Finance seeks technical and administrative support for the Permian Basin Finance Manager and the finance function in general. If you are selected for this role, you should be approachable with a friendly service mindset, possess strong organizational skills, be flexible to support a changing work environment, and be able to regularly re-prioritize contending tasks with limited supervision.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Permian Basin Finance Manager, including complex calendar management and expense reconciliation

  • Provide administrative support to the Permian Finance Team through scheduling of departmental meetings, travel arrangements, and IT coordination

  • Develop and distribute the weekly Finance Focus Newsletter and the quarterly Permian Finance Newsletter (PFN)

  • Lead the Permian Finance Employee Events Committee, including organizing and managing all on-site and off-site events

  • Coordinate and support logistics for quarterly Town Hall meetings, external office visitors, and Executive visits/functions

  • Prepare and maintain onboarding materials for new employees, including office procedures, ergonomic evaluation, desk & office equipment, arranging initial safety training, badging, and other support as appropriate

  • Create, organize, and maintain critical business documentation, including Business Continuity Plan, new employee documentation, office procedures, safety training, organizational charts, and distribution lists

  • Perform general administrative duties, including office relocations, securing calendars, managing facility work order requests, and managing office supplies, mail and packages

  • Responsible for Document Records Management compliance; notarize documents as needed

  • Provide coverage on an as-needed basis for other Admin Assistants and complete ad hoc requests as they arise

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

  • 3 or more years of experience as an administrative assistant

  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred:

  • 5 or more years of experience as an administrative assistant

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills

  • Be able to set priorities and follow through on assignments with limited supervision

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Understands and anticipates the needs of clients and business partners

  • Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals

  • Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals

  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
