The DuPont Water Solutions business is recruiting for a Training Coordinator and Management Systems Specialist to join its dynamic team located at its Michigan Operations (MiOps) manufacturing site in Midland, MI. This role oversees the plant training program and provides delegated support to People Leaders by leading teams that are focused on areas such as OEM, Management System gaps, Work Process gaps, and Organizational Effectiveness.

The Midland Ion Exchange Resins Unit is a part of Michigan Operations, one of DuPont’s largest sites and home to manufacturing operations representing each of DuPont’s 3-businesses. As part of DuPont's Water and Protection portfolio, the Water Solutions business provides purification and separations technology into multiple market channels. Ion Exchange Resins are primarily used for water purification, food & beverage processing, and pharmaceuticals manufacturing. These resins are also heavily used in power generation facilities that supply electrical power to consumers around the world.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with Leadership, coordinates the development and implementation of and maintains the plant training program. Ensures compliance is achieved for all training policies and requirements.

  • Oversees operator training program.

  • Perform needs assessment based on requirements and goals to develop employee specific training schedules/plans

  • Ensures all required employee training records are up-to-date and maintained in the Learning Management System. Tracks compliance and communicates overdue training items to employees, teams and leadership to deliver 100% training compliance.

  • Coordinate Instructor Led Training offerings to align upcoming courses with employees coming due

  • Create and facilitate demonstration/learning review boards (LRB)

  • Periodically update the Global Roster for Standards and ensure accuracy

  • Actively participates in local/regional learning networks.

  • Ensures appropriate local subject matter experts review and approve plant/department specific training and learning resources and that all local learning resources are up-to-date and available.

  • Acts as the subject matter resource for the Learning Management System and coaches employees on how to access and utilize learning resources.

  • Typically fills the role of IMS Training Element Focal Point. Manages the training audit / assessment programs, conducts training surveys, and communicates results to employees and leadership.

  • Works with Management of Change (MOC) owners to ensure that training related requirements are achieved and gaps in training are resolved.

  • Involvement in on-boarding of new employees and contractors into the plant/department.

  • Performs audit related reporting (ex. MSR, EH&S Integrated Audits, ISO).

  • Facilitate Management System Review (MSR) and maintain the MSR plan year to year - Ensure MSRs are completed to evaluate Management System gaps

  • Communicate instructions to Group for completion of MSR data collection

  • Develop MSR Report

  • Lead the Management System/Self-Assessment Team (own team charter, facilitate monthly SA meetings, coordinate with Element focal points with reminders and forecasting for SA completion)

  • Coordinate Opportunities for Improvement, Non-conformances and ensure all SA with findings have follow-up actions addressed.

  • Communicate Self-Assessment findings to facility

  • Provide expertise and coaching (support service) for self-assessments improvements in facilities

  • Facilitate and evaluate effectiveness of Task and Role transfer process (i-MOC, MOC)

  • Understands work processes utilized by the organization (e.g. ODMS, EHS, Quality, Produce Product)

  • Lead/coordinate the successful utilization of the Operating Discipline Management System within their area

  • Assist with onboarding process of new employees

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required; Associates degree or higher is preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years’ administrative/office support experience is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint) is required

  • Self-managing, and service oriented

  • Ability to work under pressure, be highly organized and meet time-sensitive transmission deadlines

  • Able to multitask and be flexible when requested to change/redirect work activities and priorities

  • Excellent People skills and ability to establish rapport with multiple work groups

  • Agent of change

  • Detail oriented to ensure accuracy of records

  • Willing to recognize and communicate positive and negative reinforcement

  • This position operates according to a standard weekday schedule Mon-Fri 7:30a-4:00p; must be willing and able to work overtime if necessary based on business need.

  • This role is located in Midland, MI and may require less than 5% of travel
