Robert Half is partnering with a large client near Middlesex County NJ in the search for an Entry Level Accountant. The client provides amazing growth opportunities and avenues for success. The responsibilities of the role are below and please apply if you fit this position:

• Bill processing

• AP invoicing

• Invoice discrepancy management: resolving quantity and pricing discrepancies

• Looking for prior knowledge/experience with vendor management

• AP reconciliations for their products

• Also processing freight discrepancies

• Assisting with AP audit in October and February

Looking for someone eager to learn and take on new responsibilities

Someone who can make an impact for the team and the workload

Software:

• Rapid (internal system they can train on)

• Oracle (willing to train)

• Excel for importation of financial data

  Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role within the wholesale distribution industry.

• Demonstrated ability to process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) including tracking, recording, and resolving any issues.

• Proven skills in account reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records.

• Experience in identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Willingness to continue professional development and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analysis.
