Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Miami, Florida. This role involves coordinating purchasing activities within the telecommunications industry, ensuring that all purchases are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be expected to utilize your skills in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to enhance the purchasing process.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and negotiate quotes with vendors to ensure the best value for the company.

• Adhere to project budgets while making purchasing decisions.

• Enter and track all outstanding purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods and services.

• Use your knowledge of ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to streamline purchasing processes.

• Utilize your skills in 'About Time', 'Buyer', and 'Buying Processes' to manage time effectively and make informed buying decisions.

• Select components based on a thorough understanding of the company's needs and industry standards.

• Provide excellent customer service, resolving any issues or inquiries related to purchases.

• Regularly review and update purchasing processes and strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and coordination of activities.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to make informed purchasing decisions. Requirements • Proficient in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and About Time software

• Proven experience as a Buyer with a deep understanding of Buying Processes

• Ability to perform Component Selection effectively

• Exceptional Customer Service skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Proven track record of improving efficiency and reducing costs through effective purchasing strategies.
