Job Description for Staff Physician
Title: Staff Physician - Institution: University of Miami Division: Katz Family Division of Nephrology & Hypertension Department: Medicine Reports to: Chief, Alessia Fornoni Type of Position: Part-time Per Diem Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The staff physician part time (Clinical) is responsible for providing direct inpatient/outpatient on call weekend care to Nephrology patients at U H ealth Locations . The Staff physician will be engaged in teaching and evaluation of Nephrology fellows as appropriate . Position will be paid at $ 36 per rvu generated.
Qualifications:
MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
Valid American Board Certification in Nephrology (or board eligible)
Valid unrestricted Florida Medic al License
Kn owledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional a nd state licensing requirements.
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Current BLS certification required .
Valid DEA licensure if required by credentialing
