Marriott Vacations Worldwide Manager, Lettershop in Miami, Florida

Position Summary

Manages and supervises workflow and instructs Warehouse Clerks in the processing of Membership Fulfillment, Direct Mail, and Materials Handling.

Works with the Print Production Manager to schedule, and process outbound mail. Coordinates and supervised Non-Exempt Lettershop staff.

Supervisory

  • Selects best qualified persons for approved positions/activities.

  • Ensures that each employee receives complete training in all aspects of the position.

  • Establishes appropriate control methods to ensure accurate, efficient, and effective operations.

  • Accurately evaluates employee performance regarding reasonable workflow expectations.

  • Recommends salary increases, promotions, demotions, transfers, and terminations.

  • Develops employees towards realizing their full potential.

  • Maintains high employee morale and low turnover.

Expected Contributions

  • Responsible for determining the most appropriate workflow and establishing procedures for data, to print, to distribution.

  • Ensures timely processing and coordinates workflow and staff assignments with the other members of management in the respective areas of the department.

  • Acts as liaison between client department managers and production staff in relation to workflow goals and objectives. This includes overseeing staff to ensure that production/ processing is accurate and meets deadlines.

  • Is responsible for coordinating the receipt and preparation of data files in various formats for USPS qualification and laser, inkjet, or thermal printing systems.

  • Assisting the Production Manager in the coordination, development, and implementation of new projects and/or procedures across all fulfillment applications.

  • Is responsible for placing the timely request of inventory materials from the Inventory Manager to accommodate efficient workflow.

  • Is responsible for recording and reporting of costs and material usage by department.

  • Coordinates with team members and management to ensure all production schedules are met.

  • Assist in the training of Operators and personnel in their area.

  • May be required to operate forklift or company vehicle(s). (Appropriate certification/license required.)

  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

  • utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

  • establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.

  • allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.

  • contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).

  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, pushing/pulling, manual dexterity (writing, typing, fingering, handling). Must be able to comfortably lift a weight of 50lbs. to bench height of approx. 40”.

Must have good eyesight and color recognition.

Must be of sound PC proficiency.

Must possess an understanding of all Membership tiers, Group designations & appropriate material requirements.

Must be able to prioritize and manage time.

Must possess a High School diploma and be of sound physical health.
