The Data Operations team delivers trusted data to enable the launch & supply of products to our customers. Our key accountabilities include governance and maintenance of the Data Operations Framework; delivering a regulated and compliant data environment; using intelligent automation, workflow, process improvements, cross-segment expertise, and third-party suppliers to improve quality, timeliness, cost, and effort across Supply Chain; applying deep end-to-end knowledge and subject matter expertise to define, shape and implement supply chain strategies; and cultivating talent as a distinctive capability.

This position will monitor and execute day-to-day operations to support the strategy of the function across franchises/business units. Will lead small projects. Will develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate to fairly intricate scope and complexity, while referring to established policies and procedures.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Monitor and execute the data operations and data quality process. May include coordination of testing, error handling, data conversion and/or validation, and audit/compliance actions (Non-Conformance (NC) and/or Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)). Provide tactical direction to third-party team(s).

Engage with partners on tactical matters as Data Governance co-lead for a specific workstream or functional area. Provide appropriate guidance on data operations. May include completion of sophisticated change assessments and/or project prioritization requirements, point of escalation for both internal and external team members, s strategic launches and audit/compliance activities.

Facilitate continuous improvement of existing data design, process and templates by tactically focusing on business outcomes.

  • Monitor and execute the data operations and data quality for the Master Data Process Integration (MDPI) workflow process for the MedTech business segment.

  • Day-to-day critical activities include:

o Supporting MDPI Orchestrators in resolution of issues

o Providing feedback and support of project team queries regarding MDPI process

o Continuous improvement of process tools and methods for supporting MDPI process

  • Collaborate to create and maintain documentation for area of responsibility. May include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), protocols, data quality catalogs, and other policy and procedure documents. Develop and deliver training to educate partners on detailed procedures, data flows, etc.

  • Continuous improvement of existing data design, process, and templates by tactically focusing on business outcomes as well as strategic process improvements. Propose, implement, and monitor tools and processes that maximize data operations execution.

  • Engage with stakeholders on tactical and strategic decision making.

  • Lead/Support the implementation of tracking tools for the MDPI process

  • Participate in, and sometimes lead, operational and governance meetings which may include end-to-end, value capture, and third-party reviews.

  • Support of the Global Ethicon Transformation (GET) project by ensuring testing support is available for MDPI development, providing input and feedback on process flows and data elements, and providing test data as needed for on-going development and improvements to the MDPI process.

  • Support the deployment of the Data Operations Management Framework.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 4 years of relevant professional business experience is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • 4-6 years of data management experience in the context of large ERP platforms is required.

  • Supply chain experience, preferably in master data, operations, or multi-functional business environment.

  • Business and technical knowledge and understanding of all Supply Chain data elements, process, and organizational support models. (E.g. S4 Hana and/or JDE, Windshuttle, Data Quality).

  • A relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector/industry experience.

  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes.

  • Ability to contribute on a diverse, multicultural, and remote team.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives within timelines, in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly.

  • Internal : Data Operations team, Functional area business partners, project partners. Supervisor/people management experience is not required.

  • External : Third party suppliers of operational and/or project functions.

Other:

  • This position may require up to 5% of domestic and international (US) travel.
