Aircraft Structures / Sheet Metal Mechanic

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Fabrication, modification and repair of sheet metal and structural components.

• Inspect, fabricate, repair, modify and install aircraft structural components, assemblies and subassemblies

• Installs, aircraft structural components

• Corrects discrepancies using information from engineering drawings, or other documents as required

• Uses manufacturing planning, written instructions, blueprints and other applicable technical data to assemble, install or replace aircraft components

• Document all aircraft maintenance actions using the required maintenance forms

• Uses manufacturing shop stamp or test stamp to sign off completed work to include manufacturing

AIRFRAMES:

• Civilian and Government Helicopters

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to layout and drill conforming holes, rivet sheet metal, fabricate, modify and repair Aircraft components.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret blue prints, engineering drawing and technical publications.

• Ability to use and maintain various pieces of ground support and test equipment as required.

• The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.

SHIFT:

• Multiple shifts available

OT SITUATION:

• A possibility but not guaranteed

CONTRACT DETAILS:

• Contract to hire, generally hired direct around 18 weeks but exact timeline dictated by attitude & performance
