The RoleWe are looking for Software Developers to contribute to the development of the company's industry-leading Distribution Management System (DMS). In this role, you will be a member of an Agile development team building the integrated real-time solution used to optimize, manage, and control the operation of the electrical distribution grid. This role's contributions will make a highly visible impact on software that has a direct impact with thousands of daily users, as well as the millions of utility customers whose reliability of service depends on these applications. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a fundamental understanding of software development techniques while possessing passion to learn and excel your expertise to the next level. You will also need to have the self-motivation and management to plan and execute moderate complexity development projects to successful completion. Your Impact Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and architects to build software to meet our customers' complex needs. Develop and implement technical plans as project lead. Implement complex designs as a part of a small team. Train and mentor other team members in your area of expertise. Work with customers to troubleshoot software malfunctions. Identify areas of improvement within the current software solution. What You'll Need 2 + years' experience with C/C++. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Ability to adapt to feedback and changing requirements. Understanding of algorithms and complex data structures. Experience with APIs and daemon processes. Preferred Qualifications Strong self-awareness. Able to know one's abilities, commit to due dates, and hold oneself accountable. Ability to work independently, effectively manage time, and prioritize strategically.
