Field Technician

Job Description

• Perform testing needed to assist the project manager in collecting data at established monitoring points, and the functionality of the sensors

• Will need to go up to various machines and test sensors inside of barring's

• Use of basic hand and power tools

• Working in various elements due to machinery being indoors and outdoors

• Travel to various client sites as required

• Will read work instructions and follow safety rules, write reports, send emails and have the ability to interact with customers and co-workers

• Documentation of issues found

• Use of a computer system

• Two way radio usage

Hard Skills

• Manufacturing, industrial or construction experience

• Ability to travel 75% + Pass an MVR

• Handle heights of up to 150 feet

• Use of basic hand and power tools

• Able to lift up to 50lbs

• Diploma or GED

Work Environment

This role is primarily service-oriented, working for various manufacturing facilities mainly around the Toledo area but also nationally. Most work is done on barring sensors on grain elevators. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, but you must be open to working extended hours or weekends if required. It's a non-union environment. You will travel in a company vehicle with one other data collector/field tester to service customer sites, with the eventual goal of having your own vehicle for travel with the company. The starting pay is $20 per hour.
