Located in the heart of Monmouth County, New Jersey, we are a reputable business in the service industry who are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who will take charge of data entry for accounts payable using our accounting software.

This role offers a multifaceted workplace setting where you will be entrusted to handle a myriad of tasks every week, not simply confined to your primary role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient processing and management of customer credit applications, while ensuring utmost accuracy.

• Maintenance and careful management of customer credit records.

• Resolution of customer queries promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service.

• Regular monitoring and review of customer accounts, initiating actions where necessary.

• Assisting with weekly tasks including the issuance of checks and settling bill payments.

• Compliance with company policies and regulations while performing all accounting-related tasks.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discretely

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies

• Basic understanding of general accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential.
