Welding Engineer, Marion, AR, Automotive Manufacturing Job Description

As a Welding Engineer, you will be integral in eliminating waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy, and other resources that do not generate value. Your role includes providing welding engineering support to production, being a technical resource, validating new equipment processes, ensuring a safe work environment, and coordinating guidance from internal/external customers to meet customer needs. You will also be involved in plant floor troubleshooting, training, problem-solving to root cause analysis, and working with engineering & production teams for quality, warranty, and cost improvement activities.

Skills

• Experience with welding processes including Spot, MIG, and Projection Nut

• Process validation experience with new equipment build, installation, and start-up

• CAD experience, specifically SolidWorks for 3D modeling

• Ability to troubleshoot welding issues like nonconformance issues, burn through, undercut, over-weld conditions

• Experience in robotic welding with a MIG Gun

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Marion, Arkansas.

Work Environment

You will be working in an automated setting with robots placing parts and setting them into fixtures for stamping and welding axles, knuckles, and suspensions. The environment is fast paced where daily problem-solving and troubleshooting are required to maintain effective processes.
