Job Description

Caterpillar’s MineStar Solutions is hiring a Senior Technology Site Consultant in Malaga, Spain. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies ranging from complex applications that drive productivity to fully autonomous vehicles operating on both the surface and underground environments. This is a new and unique team in the region to execute on implementation, training, monitoring and support for all the MineStar offerings with our growing client base. As a Technology Site Consultant you will act as a team lead in the region, supporting the product support manager in growing this new team.

JOB DUTIES

· Supporting Jr team members as a mentor and team lead.

· Implementing and updating MineStar technology at client sites

· Training client on MineStar technology

· Providing support services to clients and dealers

· Monitoring clients use of MineStar technology and making recommendations on improving utilization.

· Partner with internal teams for new product development cycles, field follows, and other tasks to bring products to market.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to travel (up to 50%) frequently to customer and dealer locations

· Experience in Mining technology, IT Systems, Electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· An engineering degree with sufficient years of technology industry experience or equivalent is required.

· Attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Proficiency in English language

· Understanding/hands on experience of mining machine industry

· Experience with communication methods (Wi-Fi, Radio, 3G/4G/5G, etc.)

· Proficiency with network troubleshooting equipment

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

· Hands-on experience with remote control, automation and construction machines

· Experience with construction or mine site network evaluations
