Responsibilities Hours for this role are Monday - Friday with varying shifts between 8a and 6p Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the associate therapist is responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the psychosocial services for patients of PrairieCare Residential. The Associate Therapist collaborates with their clinical supervisor in a multi-disciplinary setting to provide a comprehensive range of services to patients and their families and seeks to enhance the functioning of patients. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy for assigned residents, providing services under the license of clinical supervisor May work with children or adolescents 10-18 years of age and their families Work toward independent licensure including meeting board requirements, and maintaining an active relationship with clinical supervisors as defined within policy and as per supervision contract Develop increasing autonomy in providing clinical care Contribute to the interdisciplinary team the perspective of their unique training and support the clinical lens in supporting staff from other disciplines Coordinate care with treatment team, program staff, and external providers upon admission and discharge to maintain continuity of care Communicate with families to keep them involved in treatment decisions Provide training in specific therapeutic modalities and interventions to other residential staff members Participate in case conferences, treatment rounds and work in partnership with all other residential staff members to create and maintain a therapeutic milieu for residents Available to provide coverage for other Therapists when absent or as the need arises Maintain clinical records in compliance with PrairieCare policies and regulatory standards Support quality assurance and peer review activities as assigned Maintain confidentiality of client medical record according to program policy and HIPAA rules Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing records per program requirements Ensure compliance with program policies, external regulatory standards, and payer requirements Participate in holds/restraints processes as required by patient safety needs and as trained Provides informal leadership to program through participating in Administrator On-Call rotation Oriented towards, educated in, and embracing interculturally responsive functioning from lenses of gender, race, age, and other cultural identifications and differences Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family therapy, or related field required. Associate Licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is preferred. Exposure to, and preferably clinical experience in, working with adolesc Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance Have computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form Must have knowledge and experience in providing Dialectical Behavior therapy/skills groups and Cognitive Behavi r therapy to children and adolescents Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
