Role Summary: Boston Scientific's Product Development Team is at the forefront of improving global health outcomes. As a Senior Project Manager within the Interventional Heart Failure team, you will lead pivotal projects in the Cardiology market, driving innovation from ideation to market launch. Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Direct comprehensive project management activities for new product development within the Interventional Heart Failure portfolio. This includes defining project scope, managing timelines, overseeing budgets, and ensuring resource availability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between interdisciplinary teams, including R&D, Design Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Marketing. Ensure cohesive efforts across business units and manufacturing sites to achieve project milestones. Risk Management: Proactively identify project challenges and business risks, developing strategies to mitigate them. Implement solutions to technical problems in collaboration with project teams. Communication: Maintain transparent communication channels with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status. Elevate critical business decisions to appropriate management boards and functional managers. People Management: Lead and mentor diverse project teams, fostering an environment that encourages contribution and growth. Provide performance feedback to cross-functional managers and directors. Compliance Oversight: Ensure all project activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor changes in compliance landscapes and adjust project strategies accordingly. Process Excellence: Utilize PLCP lifecycle knowledge to deliver high-quality project outcomes. Influence cross-functional systems effectiveness and drive policy and practice improvements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management. Experience: At least 7 years of relevant project management experience, with a track record of leading small and large cross-functional teams. Engineering or Project Management experience with Class II/III single-use devices is a must. New Product Development experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred. Certifications: PMP certification is preferred. Travel: Availability to travel approximately 10% of the time to support project needs. Skills and Competencies: Strategic Leadership: Ability to envision long-term goals and drive teams towards achieving them. Effective Communication: Strong skills in articulating complex ideas and engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Collaborative Spirit: Proven track record of building and maintaining productive cross-functional relationships. Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of product design, process changes, and compliance updates in the medical device field. Financial Management: Competence in managing budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
