Stantec Head of HR Client Services (Operations) in Manchester, United Kingdom

The Opportunity

Stantec UK & Ireland (UK&I) is a rapidly growing business, through acquisitions and organic growth. Reporting to the HR Director UKI, you will lead a growing team of 10+ HR professionals spread across the UK.

You will play a key role supporting the growth of our business, through flawless employee relations, business partnering and strategic thinking. You will carefully balance operational expertise and efficiency with the coaching and development of your wider team.

You will deliver key HR initiatives that are aligned with the business strategy, preparing the organisation for growth at every step. You will support and lead the business on employee relations issues and provide guidance on complex HR issues through coaching, negotiation, and resolution.

The delivery of HR initiatives that are aligned with the business strategy is a core feature of this role.

Supporting and leading the business on employee relations issues; partners with legal counsel throughout; providing guidance to business leaders and the HR team on complex HR issues through coaching, teaching, and role modelling to ensure successful resolutions.

Hybrid working:

3 days a week minimum in the office, 2 days of which will in our Warrington office. The in-person provision of support to the wider HR team and Site personnel is a key aspect of this role.

About You

A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Proven business relationship development, coupled with experience leading and managing HR teams. You bring a successful track record in influencing change within a large, complex, global and changing environment where results focused perspective is essential. CIPD accredited to Chartered Member level is essential.

A senior HR professional, you bring a warm and engaging style. Proven experience in integration of acquisitions experience would be ideal, as rapid growth and organisational development are constants for our HR team. You are passionate about building high performing HR teams as well as highly skilled at organisational design theory and the delivery of operational HR.

You enjoy working within a fast paced, matrix and global business. You possess strong organizational and leaderships skills to manage a team of highly capable HR professionals, handling competing priorities and deadlines, with the ability to use discretion and independent judgement when dealing with complex, confidential matters.
