Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. This role will involve managing the full cycle of accounts payable, certified payroll, and sales tax operations. This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our client's team's financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payment transactions

• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts

• Handle certified payroll tasks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

• Manage sales tax operations and ensure accurate tax calculations

• Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable operations

• Resolve accounts payable issues promptly and maintain good relationships with suppliers

• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable process.

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated ability in data entry tasks

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Knowledge of accounting software and systems

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Knowledge of general accounting principles
