Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a dynamic DevOps Engineer to assist in the development of CI/CD pipelines for a crucial sonar/acoustic system in our US Fleet of Submarines known as ARCI. The ARCI program leverages commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) rugged server and embedded computing technology to facilitate regular upgrades of submarine sonar signal processing ability. This technology is set to be integrated into ships for various international navies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining build systems for multiple languages and components, developing software in a Linux environment with shell scripting, and applying experience with Virtualization in an Agile Development environment. Furthermore, they will apply Static Code Analysis experience to develop more effective build processes, utilize source code management toolsets, and apply containerization experience for builds and deployments.

Hard Skills

• Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline

• Design and maintain build systems for multiple languages and components

• Software development in Linux environment (RHEL) with shell scripting

• Virtualization (KVM/Openstack) in Agile Development environment

• Static Code Analysis

• Source code management toolsets (GIT/Artifactory)

• Containerization for builds and deployments

Soft Skills

• Atlassian the person, Gitlab, etc

• Python or Bash

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Manassas, Virginia.

Work Environment

This role offers flexibility in working hours, with the option of a 9/80 or 4/10 schedule. All work is to be conducted within the secure ARCI lab.
