And more! About the role The Paralegal will have various administrative and paralegal responsibilities and will assist the General Counsel, Director of Legal Services and Senior Paralegal. The position requires participation in Legal Department meetings and interaction with other corporate departments and Company affiliates as may be necessary. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck What you'll be doing Corporate documentation Entity formation and tracking Document retrieval Maintain corporate Minute Books and Company organizational charts Annual franchise reporting/Regulatory filings Licensing/tax renewals Assists with researching Business Licensing requirements and completes any necessary paperwork related to applications and/or renewals Assist with review of project-related documents and contracts Assist with the preparation of contracts using Company standard forms Assist with quarterly and annual Legal Dept. reports Assist with compliance oversight relating to contractual notice and reporting requirements Assist with document production for project closings Data entry of threatened or pending litigation into Legal Department's litigation software platform (Legal Tracker). Assists with issuing Litigation Hold Memoranda to relevant staff and drafting initial correspondence related to threatened or pending litigation. Assist with investigation of incidents which may lead to litigation and pending or threatened litigation. Assist with reporting to insurance broker and insurance carriers regarding claims submission and gathering documentation requested by carrier/outside counsel. Interact with outside counsel regarding tracking of pending litigation. Assist with preparation of litigation reports to management and/or auditors. Assist with the claims settlement process. Assist with compiling discovery responses related to pending litigation. Reviews and codes invoices from law firms and vendors for payment and processing. Coordinates the flow of paperwork to ensure timely payment of invoices. Maintains invoice logs by law fir /vendor and tracks expenses at the matter level. Coordinates with insurance adjusters on the reimbursement of fees once deductible has been met. Preparing transmittal letters and FedEx deliveries. Assisting Legal Department with miscellaneous tasks/projects.

Who we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Paralegal studies, or related field plus certification in Paralegal studies preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a corporate legal department Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required; ProLaw experience is a plus Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize and manage workload. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Expert proofreading, writing and typing skills
