JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Research Finance Admin Specialist will support financial needs and provide clinical and basic research assistance across the Department of Dermatology. This person will be enthusiastic about finance and how it relates to a clinical research and basic science setting. They will work with staff & faculty across both research arms, assisting with tasks such as balance tracking, grant management, budget planning, data analysis, reporting, purchasing and other aspects of research support. They will also support the clinical research team with duties related to clinical trials and research studies. Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals. 20% Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success 20% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s) 15% Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues, personnel matters, and budgetary problems 15% Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program 20% Provides financial support across multiple scopes of the clinical research and basic science groups including grant management, budget planning, financial analysis, reporting, purchasing, and other aspects of financial functions.
