JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Sleep Clinic - 32510 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : Full-time, 100% FTE day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. External hires are eligible for a \$3,000 sign-on bonus. We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: * Join our team of dynamic sleep experts (nurses, psychiatrists, neurologists, pulmonologists and APPs) who care for adults and children with sleep disorders. * Collaborate with nationally renowned translational researchers that work to maintain our cutting-edge excellence in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. * Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint and review medications and allergies. * Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. * Promote healthy life styles, wellness and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
