Robert Half Talent Solutions has partnered with a local Madison area CPA firm in search of their next HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a variety of functions including employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities:

• Offer guidance and support to employees on an ongoing basis

• Oversee the performance appraisal and feedback process, assisting managers and employees in setting and achieving their goals

• Address employee relations issues, such as complaints, disciplinary actions, and terminations, in a professional and timely manner

• Administer and maintain employee records, payroll, benefits, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

• Develop and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

• Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and fair application

• Stay updated on HR trends and best practices, recommending changes or improvements as necessary

• Participate in HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with other departments and external partners

• Safeguard all confidential information obtained on the job by properly using it, filing it, disposing of it, and discussing it only with those who have a legitimate business need to know.

Skills:

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance and Employee Relations.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist in a CPA or similar firm.

• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.

• Experience with Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time software.

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration.

• Strong understanding and experience in Compliance and Employee Relations.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines.

• Proven track record of maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a plus.
