Position Overview The Director, Medical Affairs Field Team functions in a leadership and management role in the Medical Affairs department. This position leads the Field Medical team including, but not necessarily limited to, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs). The Director will collaborate with commercial leadership to develop and implement a robust field medical strategy. Travel in this role is up to 70% within key US markets and Exact Sciences headquarters to provide national leadership and to support strategic scientific exchange, clinical education, and key opinion leader (KOL) identification and development. This position is field based. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead the Medical Affairs team and work closely with Medical Affairs leadership, disease-based medical directors, pathology, and field-based teams to implement customer strategies aligned with scientific exchange, clinical education, clinical research development, and key opinion leader engagement. Manage the Field Medical team collaboration and support with various functions, including, but not limited to, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations, Corporate Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance/Legal. Develop and implement strategies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and processes to ensure that Field Medical teams perform their duties to meet objectives and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Work in strategic collaboration with the Sales and Marketing departments and Field Sales teams to create and implement educational strategies for key clients. Provide leadership in developing initiatives and processes to build and deepen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) as potential speakers and collaborators for Exact Sciences.
