JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Wisconsin Athletics is seeking a full-time Athletics Assistant Equipment Manager. This dynamic position reports directly to the Director of Equipment and focuses on managing equipment for our Olympic Sports Programs. Responsibilities: Manages inventory and maintenance of athletic equipment, works directly with vendors to select and obtain appropriate equipment. May supervise equipment room personnel for a competitive intercollegiate athletics program in support of fielding a competitive team fostering a positive student-athlete experience and maintaining regulatory compliance. 20% Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison to internal and external stakeholders and vendors providing information and representing the interests of the unit 10% Assists with training and monitoring of equipment fit and use and makes change recommendations to ensure safety and compliance with established rules and regulations 25% Develops, implements, and executes procedures and/or schedules for equipment order, distribution, storage, cleaning and repair to ensure that daily operations and procedures for athletic programs runs efficiently 10% May lead the day-to-day activities of equipment staff and resolves personnel issues 20% Serves as primary point of contact for staff and student-athletes regarding equipment options and provides technical information 15% Audits equipment inventory levels and maintenance schedules Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
