IFF is very excited to welcome a new Global Business Leader – Sweeteners to our team, and we hope it’s you!

Location:Global role, based in a European or US IFF office is preferred.

Your primary responsibility will be to set the commercial strategic direction and build strong execution plans with the sales regions. You will work in a competitive market but with interesting opportunities for driving profitable growth. You will be responsible for revenue and profit growth for the assigned portfolio, you will create and oversee the implementation of the Product Strategy, in cooperation with Regional Product Line Managers, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Innovation, Regulatory and other relevant stakeholders to assure alignment of product and functional execution plans. You will be an active player in setting and fulfilling cost goals.

The key tasks/responsibilities of this position are:

  • Business ownership of the product line, accountable for the financial outcomes (revenue, gross margin)

  • Develop, define, communicate and drive the strategic direction of the product line, regional, and industry priorities, including an aggressive plan for volume growth.

  • As part of the product line strategy, ensure there is a multiple-sourced strategic raw material supply into the manufacturing plants, supported by procurement and R&D.

  • Establish strategic pricing plans for the product line by product/market. Define the global and regional price and margin policy by product, ensuring implementation of pricing architecture.

  • Develop product portfolio for future growth together with R&D and application teams and manage in relation to market needs, operational constraints, and strategy.

  • Participate in key customer interactions to build long term relations and understanding.

  • Provide guidance to the Regional Product Managers to assure product strategies are executed in the Regions.

  • Optimize the utilization of our global plant network and support maximum plant utilization together with Operations in line with the short-term profitability as well as the strategic objectives.

  • Execute the Product Line Management plans. Proactively analyze product line profitability, approve product line additions, and decide on product line deletions.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Master’s level Degree in a technical education such as Chemical Engineering, Food Chemistry etc. and/or a master’s degree in a business education such as MBA.

  • Minimum 8-15 years of experience in food ingredients industry in business or commercial roles with demonstrated business performance and results.

  • Successful P&L management track record is highly preferred.
