Amazon is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Business Intelligence Engineer – data analyst to support the EU Negotiations Program in its mission to improve selection, better prices and more convienence for our customers across our European Consumer business.

The role of the Senior BIE, EU Negotiations, will be to provide insights into how macroeconomic trends may influence our profitability, build reports based on the latest technology to help retail teams monitor progress and course-correct when they are missing their objectives and help in the automation of key phases of the process. You will use data to support your ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format.

This role will work in close collaboration with the project teams, business teams, finance teams as well as other data and tech teams, both in Europe and across the world.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Luxembourg, LUX

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
