Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Louisville, KY.Duties: Review software requirements and specifications for assigned applications and systems to ensure completeness and clarity. Create the design and specifications of individual software modules as needed. Implement appropriate coding, testing, and deployment technologies. Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversee testing and debugging and develop fixes. Research complaints and make necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. 100% telecommuting permitted within the US. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role. 5 years of experience with the following: • Software engineering with open systems (Java or .NET) business applications in a large IT organization. • Application development or configuration experience with Oracle ERP applications such as Product Data Hub; and• Application development in Relational Database Management Systems Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. 2 years of experience with the following: • REST APIs, JSON, and XML. 1 year of experience with the following: • Application development experience in NoSQL database management systems MongoDB or Cosmos; • Data streaming/Pub-Sub model using Kafka and Streamsets; and • Systems used for Medicare product build and regulatory filing.Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
