University of Louisville Senior Manager Instructional Design and Technology in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 8E (Salary)Position Description:The Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning has an open position for an Senior Manager, Instructional Design and Technology. This position will supervise, coordinate, and evaluate direct reports while driving the regular operations of the Online Faculty Support group as part of the Instructional Design and Technology team. Responsibilities include supervision and coordination of group members and the cultivation of a culture of excellence in faculty support, pedagogy, and instructional technology support. The Senior Manager, Instructional Design and Technology will supervise and lead efforts to maintain quality online courses by providing course duplication services, faculty consultations and just in time technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology, a deep understanding of online pedagogy, and proven management skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate staff and direct the operations of the Online Faculty Support group to provide top-tier assistance for faculty.Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the faculty support group and across the institution.Ensure faculty support group meets key performance indicators and provide performance management support.Maintain support resources for Blackboard and related instructional technology tools.Create and maintain processes for faculty support in a way that is responsive to faculty need.Preferred Qualifications:5 years of experience in higher education, specifically in faculty support or educational technology.Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology or Design or Education (or equivalent).Experience working with higher education faculty and instructional designers in an online learning context.Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills is desired.Leadership experience strongly preferred.The Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning:The Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning seeks candidates who value teamwork, customer service and excellence.
