Coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. May plan, coordinate, and security measures to safeguard computer databases. Routine DBA functions like space management, Undo segments and correcting Invalid objects. Writing backend procedures, functions, Packages and triggers. Installation, up gradation and Maintenance of Oracle RDBMS on Linux & Windows platforms. Shell scripts and database backups using. Planning of logical database and physical layout. Database Designing, creation and maintenance.Three (3) Database Administrator positions available:Qualifications/Requirements:Database Administrator Level I positions require: Bachelor's or Equivalent in CS or related analytical quantitative field.Database Administrator Level II positions require a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in CS or related quantitative or analytical field & 2 yrs of exp. in offered position computer professional or a closely related occupation.Database Administrator Level III positions require a Master's Degree or equiv. in CS or related analytical or quantitative field of study. In lieu of a Master's degree, will also accept a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science or related analytical or quantitative field of study & 5 years of exp. in offered position or professional or a closely related occupation.Acceptable Fields of Study: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, including Electronics/Electrical, Software Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Industrial Engineering. Bus.
