Randstad is looking for an experienced Paralegal for a leading law firm specializing in civil litigation defense. In this position, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by obtaining, organizing, and summarizing medical records for defense cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation defense and possess an understanding of medical terminology and records.Prior experience in civil litigation defense supporting multiple attorneys required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions in civil litigation defense cases

• Request, review, and organize medical records from healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Summarize and analyze medical records, highlighting key information relevant to the case

• Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests

• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations

• Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible

• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule interviews or depositions

• Prepare exhibits and other visual aids for use in court proceedings

• Assist in the preparation of trial notebooks and other materials for court

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys
