Robert Half HR Coordinator in Los Angeles, California

Description We are seeking an HR Coordinator in the Social Care/Services industry, based in Los Angeles, California. This role involves administration of the daily responsibilities of the Human Resources Department, providing administrative support, and managing personnel files. The HR Coordinator will also be responsible for generating reports, assisting with processing new hires, conducting audits, and maintaining a badge system. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the day-to-day responsibilities of the Human Resources Department

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Talent Management and Engagement

• Maintain electronic personnel files in compliance with licensing requirements, labor laws, and other federal or state regulations governing employment records

• Generate monthly and quarterly reports

• Assist with processing new hires, including scheduling pre-employment appointments and tracking pre-employment background clearances

• Conduct audits and participate in internal and external audits by providing data and information

• Maintain a badge system in PremiSys and ensure accurate and current information

• Provide support on particular projects such as the preparation of training materials and manuals, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and complex projects in support of report preparation

• Utilize HR and Human Resources Administration skills to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.

• Proven experience in a HR Coordinator role or similar within the Social Care/Services industry.

• Proficiency in HR (Human Resources) and Human Resources (HR) Administration.

• Solid understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Certification in Human Resources (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
