The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Lead System Administrator to join the team in either Long Beach, CA or San Diego, CA .

The selected candidate will be expected to utilize Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) NonStop to support the Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) Product Support Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates in the design of computing delivery systems, standards and change management processes

  • Diagnoses and resolves complex problem and leads root cause analysis for delivery systems

  • Leads the administration of user system access and oversees initiatives to protect information to meet security requirements

  • Collaborates to define companywide tools and processes to monitor system performance for capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning

  • Mentors, leads and trains others

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator

  • 5+ years of experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) NonStop

  • 5+ years of experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) vNonStop

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)

  • 5+ years of experience with illustrated parts cat with NonStop and vNonStop

  • 5+ years of experience with the following: Linux, Python, SQL, SQL/PM, SQL/MX, Guardian utilities, Data Definition Language (DDL), NetBatch, SOAP 4, Enscribe file layout, and TACL command prompt and scripting language

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $139,400 – $188,600
