Role Profile

Reporting to the Coordinator, Accessibility Services, the Program Assistants will support with a variety of projects within the Accessibility Services unit at March of Dimes Canada.

We are looking to fill 2 positions.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide administrative support related to various aspects of the role

  • Responds to program inquiries via telephone, email, fax and traditional mail which includes explaining program guidelines and application procedures and following up with consumers, vendors, and others involved in the various stages of the granting process

  • Assist with reviewing, processing, and recording information provided by applicants, healthcare professionals, vendors and others involved in the grant application process.

  • Support with additional program administrative functions as needed

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Post secondary education in a related field

  • Ability to work in a team and/or independently

  • Exceptional communications and written skills

  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills

  • Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary: $16.55 per hour

  • ·To be considered for the 2024 Canada Summer Job program at MODC, please confirm you meet the eligibility criteria below as outlined by Service Canada:

o be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.

o be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.

o have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

o Note: International students are not eligible participants.

  • ·This position will have a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of working remotely and in-person three days a week.
