At CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (‘CBRE IA&R’) we are hiring for a Senior Controller to join our UK Team in London . Reporting directly to theDirector Fund Accounting,you will be responsible for service delivery to agreed portfolio of clients in line with agreed client specific service level agreements.You are the link between the business, clients, investors, finance and Funds. You fulfil a key function in managing reliable and complete financial information and give yoursolicited and unsolicited advice. You carry out checks on the underlying data of the Fund and you are jointly responsible for preparing reports to external investors.You will be responsible for the coordinationacross all functional teams within CBRE IA&R to ensure single accountability toyour assigned client(s).

In this role, as a Senior Controller CBRE IA&R, you work in a successful and ambitious organization that is leading in the Fund Accounting of Real Estate Funds, including open/closed ended direct funds, listed REITs,Joint Ventures and Separate Accounts.You will join a team that provides core accounting and reporting services, plus investment/ product support to the real estate fund range in UK & Europe.

Within CBRE IA&R, you will be challenged to develop yourself, to extend your knowledge and skills and to further improve and professionalize various processes within the company.

What are going to be your main responsibilities ?

  • Manage the consolidation process including the coordinationacross various functions, funds and geographies to ensure timely and well organized completion of reporting process

  • Responsible for the period-end reports, including production annual,quarterlyand monthlyreports.

  • Indebt analytical review of the financial data processed by the various departments within CBREIA&R and/or client providers.

  • Clientrelationship oversight activities includinggovernance, coordination, contract management and quality control

  • Identify and built internal and investor required processes on actual reporting.

  • Prepare presentations for financial- and management reports to client and other stakeholders.

  • Responsible for bank reconciliation and liquidity forecasts.

  • Coordinate in the Fund audit processes / AIFMD depository processes / Services Organization Controls Reports (SOC1) on quarterly basis.

  • Coordinate quarterly VAT package and CIT/NWT/WHT returns in cooperation with external tax advisor.

  • Coordinate periodic report to the regulator (CSSF / DNB / AIFMD).

  • Coordinate and execute investors’ capital contributions, redemptions and distributions.

  • Contribute to systems design and implementation in the financial area

  • Coordinate quarterly covenant management.

  • Supporting due diligence and sales process.

What are we looking for?

  • Graduated from higher vocational training (Bachelor) or university (Master) specializing in finance, such as business economics or accountancy, preferred CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.

  • Solid experience with preparation of periodic and annual financial reports and annual audit processes.

  • Experience in managing client relationships

  • Practical experience with consolidation and tax returns, in particular VAT and income tax.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, INREV

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

  • Strong analytical skills and well-developed critical attitude.

  • Excellent communication skills and social skills.

  • Accurate, independent, proactive, solution-oriented attitude and team player.

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
