    What You’ll Work On

The Regional Controller manages the accounting and finance department in the region providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that corporate management, board of directors, company shareholders, and others use in making educated economic decisions about the company’s future.

The Regional Controller may also be involved in any new acquisitions or new office setups to ensure that offices in the region are aligned financially with corporate financial goals and reporting standards.

You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks

  • Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with company values.

  • Oversee the regional activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.

  • Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.

  • Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company’s value.

  • Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs.

  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

  • Communicate with coworkers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

    What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred. Master’s degree in business administration also highly desired.

  • Certified management accountant, preferred

  • Ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience preferred.

  • Capabilities as a senior accountant in closing monthly, quarterly, and annual financials in accordance with GAAP.

  • Experience implementing financial systems.

  • Experience with project management businesses, including a high-volume of job costing.

  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter who proposes and executes solutions to problems.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate team members.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Proven history of financial and performance management.

  • Ethical conduct.

  • Skilled in a technical capacity preferred.

  • Proficient in communication with effectiveness and credibility preferred.

  • Demonstration of personal credibility/effectiveness, preferred.

    Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Requirements

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
