Suwannee River Water Management District Finance Specialist I, II or Accountant in Live Oak, Florida
[Help protect one of Floridas most vital resources water with a career at the Suwannee River Water Management District (District). [Job Summary: [This position, in the Office of Finance, is responsible for various aspects of accounting and analysis functions[]{#Hlk45094916}[]{#Hlk45094926} including compliance with financial directive and procedures in conformance with Governing Board goals, priorities, and plans ensuring financial compliance with Florida Statutes, Governmental Accounting Standards, Governing Board Finance Directive, and District procedures. Based on the level of experience the incumbent will have some level of responsibility for the following duties:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}]{arial",sans-serif"=""}]{arial",sans-serif"=""}
- Accounts Payable.
- Truth and Millage (TRIM) process.
- Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) process .
- Development, review, and implementation of finance and accounting procedures.
- Ensure proper accounting through regular analysis and reconciliation.
- Investment income allocation

``` - Quarterly grant review process. - Accounts Receivable - Annual Budget - Prepare schedules and provide supporting documentation for auditors. - Cash management and payroll functions. - Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of finance or accounting experience with an emphasis in accounts payable and cash management.
- Professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
- Payroll and tax reporting experience preferred.
