About the Role
You will be responsible for the strategic and operational responsibility for the Career Center at
Our House. You will work closely with partners, volunteers, and outside employers to ensure that
the Career Center delivers high-quality programming to its clients. You will be responsible for
overseeing a large team that connects clients to the supportive services, training opportunities,
and education they need to find long term, well-paying employment.
What Youll Do
? Hold overall vision and leadership of the Career Center, and implement high quality
processes, programming and policies and procedures built on best practices in the
field, innovation, and sharing of resources
? Directly supervise a team to achieve organizational goals. Recruit, hire, and manage
team members, holding them to a high standard of performance and ensuring
compliance with all Our House personnel policies and procedures
? Support the Career Center program as a low-barrier hub residents of Our House and
community members to access resources, receive referrals, engage with partners and
volunteers, and attend scheduled or drop-in programming
? Ensure that all Career Center clients are treated with respect and that the Career Center
maintains an environment that is inclusive, trauma-informed, and safe for all people
? Develop and implement creative and innovative programming for the Career Center,
including Orientation, intake processes, service delivery, and follow up services built on
best practices in the workforce field, client feedback and team collaboration
? Oversee the Our House Job Training Program and ensure that Career Center services
support clients who experience high barriers to employment, including criminal
backgrounds, physical or mental disabilities, or limited work experience
? Oversee the Our House Resource Hotline and ensure the Career Center team provides
quality over-the-phone support and triage to a large volume of callers each month

? Cultivate and grow relationships with local employers and training partners, including
outreach, hosting hiring events, employer recognition, and ongoing communication with
employers who hire Our House clients
? Cultivate and grow relationships with volunteers and partners to provide outreach in the
Career Center and support clients in areas of skill-building, employment, financial
literacy, and adult education
? Uphold a high standard of data quality and tracking in the Career Center, including
gathering client information and tracking client success related to employment
? Work with the Development team to ensure compliance with all grant requirements,
including grant reporting, maintaining files, data tracking, and performance measures
? Collaborate with all other Our Hous e programsOur Club, Little Learners, Housing,
Mental Health, Stability Programto provide holistic, wrap-around and coordinated
services to residents and community members served by Our House
? Attend weekly Staffing Meetings and provide support to the Career Center team in
responding to challenging client situations or crisis management
? Attend training, professional development, and community meetings relating to
workforce development, homeless and social services, and create and find training
opportunities for the Career Center team that improve quality of programming
? Serve as representative of the Career Center and participate in fundraising events, tours,
meetings with current or potential funders, thank you letters to supporters, assistance
with grants, identification of needs, and communication of relevant stories
? Actively engage and energize Our House staff
