Northrop Grumman Space Systems is hiring a System Administrator to work in Linthicum, MD. This individual will support the design, development, and integration of mixed operating system (Linux, Windows) development laboratories for the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit in Linthicum, MD .

Responsibilities include:

The selected individual will be the lead for the RSP Space Development Lab Network, and will be responsible for administration, maintenance, and compliance of the network. These duties will include:

• Management of network topology, inventory, and configuration

• Project management for defining and implementing upgrades to the IT environment

• Performing new server builds

• Scripting to optimize IT environment

• Level 3 support for system configuration, setup, and requested baseline configuration changes

• Technical leadership of level 2 support personnel

• Assisting in the resolution of computer problems beyond the knowledge of engineering staff

• Qualified candidates must demonstrate a blend of engineering, advanced technical skills, and excellent communication abilities

Basic Qualifications:

• Principal Systems Administrator: 6 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's; 4 Years with Master's. Will consider 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

• Sr. Principal Systems Administrator: 10 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's; 8 Years with Master's. Will consider 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance

• Experience with Windows, RHEL, and virtualization

• Experience with software development labs, software/hardware integration

• U.S. Citizenship

• Experience with multi-site network layout, setup, and configuration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Bash/Python script writing experience

• ESXi and VMWare experience (VM creation, vCenter/vSphere management)

• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 network compliance

• Active COMPTIA Security + Certification

• CISSP certification, RedHat certification(s)

Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,600

Salary Range 2: $115,400 - $173,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
