Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Human Resources Supervisor. This opportunity is located at our facility in Lincoln, IL. Relocation offered to candidates currently residing in the U.S and outside 50 miles of the facillity.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Our Lincoln, IL facility is a union manufacturing location with 750 employees where we produce products including circuit breakers, steel enclosures, and metering. As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, the primary function of the HR Supervisor is to directly support one of the Value Streams in the development, implementation and execution of HR policies and programs to effectively drive value for the business and meet our operational and functional metrics. This role provides leadership in the effective administration of recruitment & selection, employee & union relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, affirmative action, and other HR processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage in proactive employee relations strategies and initiatives; drive activities to promote engagement with employees at all levels including providing counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues and investigate and resolve employee relations matters.

  • Lead employee and labor relations for 680 hourly union plant employees and 70 salaried employees across three shifts by building relationships, practicing positive employee engagement and investigating and resolving labor and employee issues timely and effectively.

  • Implement and administer policies and procedures consistent with the facility’s I&D initiatives, including driving actions to achieve affirmative action goals and leading outreach efforts by promoting and maintaining relationships with civic and educational institutions.

  • Provide proactive coaching and counsel to supervisors, extended staff, and others regarding handling employee matters, including guidance related to the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Provide support in the areas of compensation and benefits: salary administration, proposing merit adjustments, assisting with wage surveys and communications, and helping employees with benefits questions and escalations.

  • Partner and support one of the value streams in the facility including supporting the manager and supervisors as well as owning the grievance procedure deadlines and 3rd step answers related to employees in that value stream.

  • Assist on special projects as needed, including support of ongoing CI Framework efforts; participating in CI events and local audits.

  • Coordinate and administer the performance management process for production teams, providing guidance to supervisors and managers on development planning and assisting in coordinating the OCA (Organizational Capability Assessment) processes

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 3 years of professional level Human Resources experience

  • Company sponsorship is not offered. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • Human Resources experience in a union environment

  • Master’s degree or MBA from an accredited institution

  • Supervisory experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution or similar industry

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including use of discretion, tact and judgment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively navigate and influence sensitive situations.

  • Organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities in an extremely fast paced work environment

  • Understanding of Federal and State employment and labor laws

  • Flexible to support alternate shifts as needed
