The student will be primarily responsible for desktop support, hardware, and software issue resolution, assisting with the day-to-day support. What you'll do * Gain experience working with IT in the oil and gas industry. * Assist with troubleshooting Deskside software and hardware failures and identifying related network problems. * support day-to-day operational activities of Deskside computing, mobile devices, telephony, desktop, laptop, workstations, and end-user support service. * Help with the support and maintenance of all aspects of Deskside environments. * Build a trusted relationship within multiple roles of business and IT groups. * Establish and maintain relationships with current IT Support groups. Who you are * Legally entitled to work in the US full-time for a 12-month work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa) * Available to begin work in January 2025 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Reliable transportation * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong time management and organization skills * Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently in a high-pressure environment. Education * Must be enrolled in a Computer Science Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term. * Candidates currently enrolled in either a master's or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered * New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
