Western States Equipment Regional Power Systems Manager in Liberty Lake, Washington

Description The Regional Manager, Power Systems, is responsible for overseeing his/her assigned region which includes the growth and development of employees in accordance with of Western States' core values and delivery of our brand promise to customers. This position will ensure the continued growth of assigned customer base and financial performance through the alignment of systems, people and processes. The Regional Manager, Power Systems, works in conjunction with supervisors to streamline overall interaction between operations and support. There will be ongoing management of key metrics to assure employee, customer and financial goals are being achieved. This position spends time as necessary working with key customers throughout his/her region. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises employees. Performs annual performance review and determines compensation increases. Administers discipline; authority to hire and terminate employees. Recognizes and advances quality people. Ensures growth opportunity for competent employees. Works with the Corporate Safety Director and employees to provide a safe and productive work environment. Manages annual budget. Updates and revises budget yearly in accordance with company guidelines. Manages expenses. Coaches and advises supervisors as needed to ensure positive employee and customer relations including the execution of Technician Development Plans, employee appraisals, customer care and financial performance expectations. Oversees assigned service region. Communicates Power Systems goals, provides resources and direction, and ensures goals are met. Meets typical annual targets of 22% PAD (may vary year over year) for annual profitability of the region. Manages business to meet defined strategic metrics. Meets with customers as needed to resolve issues, grow business and enhance customer relations. Grows Western's position in the markets it serves. Evaluates customers' expectations and demands and analyzes Western's ability to meet those expectations and demands. Works with employees' to ensure customer needs are being met. Builds and maintains Regional Power Systems growth and profitability strategy. Evaluates the competition for potential changes in our operating strategies. Confirms business is being conducted in alignment with core values. Builds regional mobile asset strategy and works with Asset Specialist to maintain field service trucks, ROI and disposal. Ensures warranty, service policy, and goodwill is addressed and processed within company guidelines. Promotes and manages all customer care standards. Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States. Promotes and manages safety at Western States. Ensures employees, vendors, and customers have a safe work environment. Adheres to and manages all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards. May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Western States' strategic programs, projects, and initiatives. Works within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required. Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building. Ability to set and manage priorities. Drive and maintain company vehicle. Must be a self-starter and able to work without supervision. Consistent attendance. Ability to travel away from home up to 50% of the time EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Bachelor's degree in Business or comparable discipline preferred. Five years' experience in a heavy electric power generation or industrial engine industry. Caterpillar experience preferred.
