Insight Global Electrical Engineer in Lexington, North Carolina

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support one of our largest steel production clients onsite in Lexington, NC. The ideal candidate will encompass the secure upkeep of all electrical elements within the facility. This involves diagnosing and fixing issues, collaborating with and aiding operations, striving for process enhancement, helping with the documentation and training related to all machinery, along with performing other tasks as required. The ideal candidate will exhibit an understanding of electrical principles in relation to power distribution and safeguarding equipment.

Shifts: Day shift 6:30am - 4:30pm

(on call to occasionally deal with maintenance emergencies)

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

3 years of Power Distribution Switchgear Installation and Maintenance Experience

Knowledgeable of the NFPA/NEC/ANSI/IEEE standards

Experience putting together and updating power systems studies

Knowledge of electrical theory, including troubleshooting, installation, repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment, including:

  • Low voltage

  • High voltage

  • Switches

  • MCCs

  • Switch gears

  • Transformers

  • breakers

  • Motor Controls

  • Power Controls - PLC (Siemens S7) troubleshooting

  • Robotics and Automation Experience null
