Robert Half Paralegal in Lexington, Kentucky

Description We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Paralegal to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. The Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks including document review and production, data management, and coordination with IT specialists. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT specialists for the organization and scheduling of further meetings

• Undertake initial review of documents and prepare for subsequent stages of legal proceedings

• Perform detailed document searches as part of case preparation and due diligence processes

• Manage document production ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurately presented and easily accessible

• Handle discovery processes, retrieving and organizing evidence for use in legal proceedings

• Utilize case management software for efficient handling and tracking of cases

• Employ skills in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel for document management and data analysis

• Administer briefing schedules and calendar management to ensure timely completion of tasks

• Oversee claims administration and complaint handling, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner

• Execute billing functions as needed. Requirements • Possession of a paralegal certificate or relevant degree.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel for document production and review.

• Experience in case management software for effective tracking and handling of cases.

• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation.

• Understanding of management systems for efficient workflow.

• Ability to handle billing functions and claim administration.

• Proficient in briefing and calendar management for effective scheduling and case presentation.

• Experience in complaint handling, ensuring all client concerns are addressed professionally.

• Skilled in document production and review, ensuring all legal documents are accurate and complete.

• Familiarity with the discovery process in legal proceedings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• High ethical standards and detail oriented integrity.
