Description/Job Summary

Understands the difference between A, B, Peco and Chep pallets.

Keep isle ways free of clutter.

Know how to operate the wrapper.

Must be able to perform all daily task of data entry in the IBS Production System.

Must demonstrate active participation in Company's Stretching Program.

Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.

Maintain good housekeeping.

Become familiar with various customer product and where and how they are to be stored.

Must show basic familiarity with truck operations.

Be able to properly complete a pre-shift truck inspection, as well as complete P.M. checklist daily.

Fill the gas tank as needed.

Know the proper placement of all finished product.

Basic math skills to accurately pull product for orders.

Empty the trash dumpster when needed.

Know where to put all finished goods, bulk material and supplies.

Know location of cases in the warehouse.

Understands that height restrictions for pallet stacking.

Knows the location of bulk skids as well as storage locations within the department.

Responsibilities/Duties

Physical
  • Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like using feet and legs and / or hands and arms.

  • Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.

  • Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

  • Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

  • Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.

  • Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.

  • Walking, moving out on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.

  • Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Degree of lifting:5-25 lbs.

  • Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.

  • Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.

  • Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

  • Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word, via face to face or telephone.

  • Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction.

  • Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.

  • Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.

  • Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

  • Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

    Visual
  • Forklift operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties. Example: Preparing propane cylinder to be placed on forklift.

  • Able to diagram product for loading.

  • Work Environment Conditions

  • Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.

  • Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.

  • Inside and outside environments apply.

  • Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

  • Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.

  • Subject to hazards, such as other forklift and pedestrian traffic.

  • Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by orders, fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dusts.

  • Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.

Preferred Experience

High school graduate or equivalent.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Available for overtime.

Must have mechanical aptitude.

Basic computer knowledge.

Fork Truck Operator Certification.

Job Description/Job Summary

Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner. Facilitating the movement of product from one location to another, properly load and unload trailers,as well as properly pull product for shipping to customer.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent Good oral and written communication skills Available for overtime. Must have mechanical aptitude. Basic computer knowledge. Must be able to work in multi climate area.
