Job Title: Chemical and Process EngineerJob Description

Seeking an established Chemical and Materials Engineering professional to conduct chemical and materials engineering activities supporting company objectives and goals. The ideal candidate will develop new materials and chemical manufacturing processes, monitor material performance, and design the layout of equipment and arrangement of operations. Responsibilities include collaborating with plant and engineering staff to identify and solve tool-related problems, designing and planning equipment layout to optimize processes, and performing laboratory studies in pilot plants to ensure feasibility and viability of new products. You will also determine appropriate methods for fabricating and joining materials, monitor material performance, evaluate material deterioration, research and develop new chemical manufacturing processes, and analyze manufacturing processes and equipment to diagnose failures. Additionally, the role involves developing routings and labor standards, updating the ERP System, writing or modifying manufacturing work instructions, and leading corrective action efforts.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lenexa, Kansas.

Work Environment

The position is on-site, primarily based in an office and manufacturing floor setting. The work schedule is 2nd shift from Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with voluntary overtime available on certain projects. The environment encourages a 'work hard, play hard' culture where everyone contributes towards the end goal. Dress code is slacks or jeans with a polo or button-down shirt.
