Job Profile
We are currently looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Ireland and North Europe Team in Applied Materials. You will be working for a busy US high tech multinational with 230 employees in Ireland and 140 in Netherlands/Belgium. Working closely with our HR leads for Ireland and Netherlands/Belgium, you will also partner with the other key HR disciplines (Rewards, Talent and L&D) to ensure programmes and processes delivered by HR are aligned with business and HR strategies.
This Human Resources Business Partner will be part of the North Europe HR team, based at our office in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. You will manage Human Resources Life Cycle Events, immigration documentation and benefits operation for the assigned countries. With the assistance of Country HR Managers for Ireland and Benelux you will manage employee relations cases and metrics (including sickness absence, capability and performance) and be responsible for leading key people projects in collaboration with members of the HR team and key stakeholders from across the business.
You will be:
Working with HR & business leaders to support design and delivery of key Human Resources initiatives across assigned sites (primarily Ireland and Netherlands).
Keeping close contact with people across the Organisation, maintaining a 'finger on the pulse' and sharing any emerging themes with the HR leads and wider team from measurable data such as exit interviews, absence and attrition data, engagement survey results (as appropriate)
Managing processes for employee relations matters with responsibility for the coaching of managers and management and tracking of employee relations (sick absence, performance and conduct)
Partner with Ireland and North Europe Managers in the implementation of company policies and procedures
Delivering HR updates to employees and managers through roundtable and all employee briefings
Managing the onboarding process of new candidates- key point of contact for new hires and co-ordinating induction.
Active in process improvement and work standardisation across the region – active in documentation and movement of high volume back-office work from local HR to HR Shared Services
Providing key HR metrics/data where appropriate as requested by the business
You will have:
Exemplary inter-personal skills with an approachable style as well as the ability to confidently and sensitively partner with employees and manager at all levels of the Organisation
HR qualification or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written English with Dutch Language preferable.
Great Organisational skills and the ability to listen well.
Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a similar role in Ireland or Netherlands and a broad understanding across different areas of Human Resources
Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel knowledge.
Full driving license and own car
Ability to travel to Netherlands as required (expected travel one trip every 2/3 months)
