Job Summary and Qualifications

• Provides professional leadership and specialized care to the Robotic patient population. The goal is to optimize patient outcomes.

• Assists with assessing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the effectiveness of day to day operations in accordance with facility policies, philosophy objectives and standards.

• Establish and monitor standards of care by working with staff, managers, committees, and task forces.

• Identifies problem areas and recommends solutions.

• Initiates, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures related to patient care.

• Provides comprehensive education in compliance with Standards of Care and Standards of Practice and coordinates the development, revision, and implementation of patient education programs, materials, and resources in area.

• Evaluates quality of care by making rounds, participating in studies and research, conducting interviews, collecting, analyzing, and trending quality indicator data, and direct observation of nursing care.

• Identifies problem areas, provides staff coaching, and makes recommendations for other solutions. Assists with skills labs.

• Studies change in and seeks additional knowledge on unusual problems and conditions, new treatments, and medications.

• Demonstrates quality care, problem-solving skills, effective uses of resources, collaboration with other health care professionals, and professional standards.

• Plans and implements interdepartmental and interagency cooperation to provide for continuity of patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Graduate from a school of nursing or surgical technology program.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.

Combination of nursing and/or education preferred.

License:

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada, or current license to practice as a Certified Surgical Technologist

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years OR experience with at least 2 years of Robotic experience. Skills in physical assessment, lab data interpretation, technological skills and nursing theory and practice are required.

Teaching experience in patient/family and staff education required.

Marketing skills preferred.
